SUMMARY:Wisconsin Fall Color Drive
DESCRIPTION:Fall Color Drive \nJoin Dawsons and Lausers for a Fall Color Drive on some of their favorite Pierce County rustic roads and bucolic byways. We’ll await your arrival in Prescott at Freedom Park\, which overlooks the Mississippi River. It is approximately one-half mile south on Highway 35 as you cross the river bridge and turn right at the first stoplight in Prescott\, then one block east as you crest the top of the hill leading south out of town (just look for the sign to the park). The adventure begins at 10 a.m. Be there by then or be left behind. \nFor the convenience of those west of the Mississippi\, we’ll wrap up the drive with lunch at The Smokin’ Oak Restaurant on the north end of Red Wing. It’s on U.S. 61 for an easy return to the Twin Cities area through Hastings to I-494. If you want more rustic road adventure after lunch\, we’ll drive them back to Hastings. \nTo be sure the restaurant knows how much to thin the soup for our group\, RSVP to Lausers by noon October 5 at glauser@centurylink.net or by phoning 715.262.9813. Hardcore British car owners who drive here with their classic are promised a truly have a Stiff Upper Lip with that cool fall breeze! We won’t speak against anyone who happens to come in a non-classic… Some club driving events start or end here\, and some independent groups drive in from all over the state for this event. Come meet other British car owners\, and if the weather hasn’t given cause for Salty roads as of yet\, see those hard-core owners who drive their British Classics long distance deep into the end of the driving season! We’ll have hot cider and Coffee ready\, and something to eat at no charge. Dust off that paper road map\, and drive the winding back roads to BMC British Automobile at 444 East Dual Blvd. NE\, Isanti\, MN 55040
