SUMMARY:Cars and Caves Show
DESCRIPTION:The Chanhassen AutoPlex sponsors Last Saturday Shows\, known as “Cars and Caves.” They are a typical car show including a variety of classic cars\, street rods\, and exotic cars. About 400 cars come through the gate on a nice day\, and there are a few hundred more cars on display in the garage condos at the Chanhassen AutoPlex. What makes these shows unique is the opportunity for folks to tour the many garage condos; each one has a different theme. The shows involve Food trucks\, sometimes music\, and/or other activities involved. The May show on Memorial Day weekend is the largest show of the year\, and it includes a military fly over.  \nThey also have car shows on some Wednesday evenings; which they call “Summer Nights.” The dates are published on their website:  https://chanhassenautoplex.com/  \nThere is no cost for the shows\, but they do ask for a freewill donation for a charity chosen for each show.

DESCRIPTION:The Annual BMC British Automobile Spring into Summer Car Show will be held on Saturday\, June 3rd from 10 – 4. All makes and models are welcome. SUMMARY:Street Car Showdown
DESCRIPTION:BIR hosts the first major race of the 2021 season Memorial Day weekend. The Street Car Showdown kicks off the three-race Muscle Car Series on the drag strip. Featuring an impressive display of power and speed\, fans get a steady dose of 200+ mph speeds and times at 6-7 seconds. It’s intense drag racing that brings race fans back year after year. \nDrivers in the Muscle Car Series are competing for series points and\, ultimately\, a series championship. The race features cars in Outlaw Pro Mod\, Outlaw\, King Street\, Real Street\, 660 Outlaw Street and 660 Limited Street classes\, which make up the Heads-Up classes where both cars launch at the same time with the winner being the first car to cross the finish line. The race also highlights 10 Index classes\, the winners of which have a separate run-off to crown the Index Class Champion. Three Strip Eliminator classes\, Truck Eliminator\, and Manual Transmission class round out the race schedule. It’s a full weekend of racing\, with qualifying that runs Friday and Saturday\, and eliminations on Sunday. \nPrior to the Showdown\, BIR is hosting the SCCA Competition Racing License School\, which is how racers can get licensed to compete in SCCA races.
